Have you seen www.flyjane.net!!  I found this site featured in a magazine about Georgia Entrepreneurs.  It is a great place to get the latest celebrity styles without paying a celebrity price.  Better yet, it is a local (state) neighbor!!  I love to find local entrepreneurs to shop to do business with. Canton Festival of the Arts, May 17 & 18 (I hope it doesn’t rain)

I found another great festival next weekend.  The Canton Festival of the Arts in historic downtown Canton.  Not only will there be fine arts, but tons of childrens’ activities, and our favorite - good food.  With rainy weekends of past, we will be carefully watching the forecast for sunny skies.  See you there!

Ball Ground Heritage Day, May 17 and 18

As a lover of local festivals, this one will be on the top of the list this year.  Ball Ground Heritage day features a parade, local crafters and vendors, great festival foods, and activities for the kids.  The festival is located at Calvin Farmer Park off of old Dawsonville Rd. in Ball Ground.  For more information follow the link on the left.  Hope to see you there.

Saturday’s plan

The weather forecast for today is rain, but if you get out early, there are many community yard sales in the area.  Carrington Farms and Harmony on the Lakes, both off of Hickory Road in Cherokee County have signs posted and multiple families participating.   Neighborhood sales are an economic way to get the bargains.  With all the families, you don’ t have to travel too far (or use too much gas).  Happy bargain hunting.

At McCullom Field (The airport) in Kennesaw, we found the greatest restaurant:  Elevation Chophouse and Skybar.  It is a great place to take the kids as there is a lot of activity on the airstrip to keep their attention.  The food was great, and though we don’t drink, there were some fascinating drinks being served at nearby tables - nitrogen margarita’s?  Complete with dry ice fog.  Parking is tight, but they do offer valet parking.  If you are not going to valet, park in the first parking lot on the left as you come in.  The walk is not very far.
